| Jive Mother Mary Rock On Regardless Of Age |
|
Interview by Avril Savoie
Jive Mother Mary is a unique 3 man band consisting of Mason Keck (lead guitar/vocals), Nathan Coe (bass guitar/vocals), and Seth Aldridge (drums). They may only be 17 years in age, but they can rock out with the best of them. The style of Jive Mother Mary is modernized version of the classic rock sound, with a bit of blues and a touch of hard rock tossed in for good measure. Keck knew he wanted to be a rocker when he heard the band Cry of Love's Diamonds & Debris album and started Jive Mother Mary when he was only 14 years old. The band has just released it's debut album All Fall Down, with the must hear tracks All Fall Down and Save Me. Mason also talks about touring and playing live, which is something the band is currently working on. "You don't normally see 17 year-olds play the rock 'n' roll music that we play," he says. "But the best part is seeing people sing along to our songs - that's my favorite part." Check out the rest of the interview as he reveals more about the album, touring and how a misunderstanding of lyrics actually became the name of the band.
For such a young guy, your music sounds so classic. Where does that come from?
