 Interview by Avril Savoie

Shane Clark, the guitarist for 3 Inches of Blood, is glad he's touring again with their new album Here Waits Thy Doom. Shane says "I get pretty stir crazy when I'm not on the road. It's just one of those things that feels like the reason why I'm on the planet to tour and play music." The band kicks off the new tour from their home in Vancouver on Sept 11, 2009 and they will be also playing a handful of other Canadian locations (Listed below) before heading to Europe to tour with Black Dahlia Murder.

In this exclusive RockStar Weekly interview,  fans will also discover how Vancouver has shaped 3 Inches of Blood and how they continue on even though there are no original members left. Vancouver was never really known for having a vibrant metal scene like the Bay area, but here you are at the forefront of a growing scene.

Has Vancouver shaped who 3 Inches of Blood is?

Congrats on Here Waits Thy Doom. With this album, the band is now on Century Media. Why the change?

How did that come about, did you find them or did they find you?

Was recording this album different from the others?

Will you be recording more albums this way?

3 Inches has gone through many band member changes since it first started and for the most part doesn’t have any original members anymore. How did it become such a rollercoaster of members?

Can you tell us who the line-up is now?

Some fans might be a little shocked that Jamie Hooper is not in the band anymore. What happened with him?

Will there be someone there to scream those extra parts?

How did Justin get to have that part in the band?

I hear you guys recorded a couple cover songs to use as B-sides or bonus tracks. What songs did you choose and why?

Metallica always enjoyed releasing covers. What’s the appeal for you guys to do covers?

Are you looking forward to hitting the road again?

So if you could, you would be always touring?

You guys added Bison for the Vancouver date. Are you guys friends?

Last year you guys toured Europe with Exodus. Any plans to return there?

Metal is so alive in Europe. Did you notice the difference when you played there?
