Rob Zombie Annimated Film Hits Video In September |
Rob Zombie's 80 minute annimated superhero horror/action flick The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is scheduled for a September 22 release - straight to DVD and Blu-Ray. Pre-orders are being accepted.The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is an animated comedy that also combines elements of a horror and thriller film. It is based upon the comic book series created by Rob Zombie that follows the character of El Superbeasto and his sexy sidekick and sister, Suzi-X. The film features the adventures of El Superbeasto (Tom Papa), a washed-up Mexican luchador, and his sultry sidekick and sister Suzi-X (Sheri Moon Zombie) as they confront an evil villain by the name of Dr. Satan (Paul Giamatti). The adventure, set in the mythic world of Monsterland, also has a character named Murray the Robot (Brian Posehn). Zombie has been working on this film since 2006 and has delayed production for touring and working on Halloween flicks. Pre-orders for the DVD and Blu-Ray are currently being accepted at Amazon.
