Interview by Avril Savoie
Exclusive to Rockstar Weekly![]() ![]() After an eleven year absence, 2004 saw the return of original vocalist Ted Poley with the pop-metal band Danger Danger. Five years later, in 2009 - it's their official return as a recording act with the release of Revolve, their first album together in many years and the official release to coincide with the 20th anniversary of their classic debut. Revolve is a powerhouse album that sounds much like it would fit between the first self-titled album its follow-up Screw It. RockStar Weekly sat down with Ted and talked about the band, his solo projects and what's instore for D2 fans around the world. CURRENT LINE-UP: Ted Poley vocals Rob Marcello guitars Bruno Ravel bass Steve West drums You guys reportedly signed on with Frontier Records Are the current live shows as energetic as they used to be? You've been back with the band since about 2004. Was it good to get back and was there any weid feelings? Is there going to be a 20th Anniversary Tour? Why did you decide to get back together with them? D2 has some great success right out of the box. What do you remember from those days? There is a song about you on a Vinnie Vincent tribute album. Did you know about that before it cam out and what do you think of it? Other than KISS what influenced you? To me there seems to be a resurgence of 80s hard rock bands. Are you feeling that vibe too? Because of the Frontier Records deal will there be more of a concentration on Europe and oversees or will we get to see D2 around North America? Do you find a difference between your European fans campaired to your North American fans? How about Ted Poley. We know you have a new CD coming out in September, but what's else is in the future for you? How did you get approached to do the music for some video games? |
