Barenaked Ladies Release New Video As Four-Piece

Barenaked LadiesCanadian pop/rock sweetie pies Barenaked Ladies and Raisin Records have just released the new video for You Run Away from the upcoming album All In Good Time. The simplistic performance part in the video shows the band performing in a dark black room, while interlaced with funny clips of bullet-time sequences (using the technique mastered by the makers of The Matrix films) of people running and crashing into various objects and into other people. Throughout the clips, the band can be seen amongst the madness of people running and crashing.

It's a great video to introduce the world to a Steven Page-less BNL and a suitable companion to the first single. This song was written by Ed Robertson and is about Page's departure from the band. Ed has said in a few recent interviews that in most songs he's covered up the true meaning of the songs with humor, but with this one he just let it all out.

It was this week last year that Page announced his mutual departure from the band. BNL has decided to continue as a four piece and are awaiting the release of All In Good Time, which is expected to hit stores in Canada on March 23 and the US on March 30 through a worldwide distribution deal with EMI Music.
