Earlier this month, shock rocker Marilyn Manson premiered the official video for his latest single off The High End of Low album, Running to the Edge of the World.

The video started to cause a stir, being called, amongst other things, the closest video modern audiences get to a snuff film. The first 4 minutes of the video consist of nothing else other than a close-up on Manson’s face as he sings in pain, anger and resent. After the 4-minute mark, viewers get glimpses at a heinous and brutal crime committed by Manson himself. Fans call the video “art,” critics still hold their own on that he’s just taken things somewhat too far.

Adam Lambert shocked the world when he performed an S&M influenced routine of his new single and title track from his album For Your Entertainment, where he kissed and groped male dancers and a member of his band during the American Music Awards on Sunday. Lambert became the most talked about celebrity of the week, shedding any memories of the nice young lad the world watched on American Idol. Fans defended Lambert's freedom of expression and media, as well as broadcaster ABC, cried foul.
