Oi Fashion Rocks Heads To Brazil

Oi Fashion Rocks, one of the most famous events in Europe and in the United States, arrives in Brazil this weekend. Held for the first time in a Latin American country, the Brazilian version occurs on October 23 and 24 at Copacabana Palace Hotel and in the Jockey Club in Rio de Janeiro.

With more than five editions held worldwide, Oi Fashion Rocks is a success in the United States and Europe and has featured Alicia Keys, Lily Allen, Whitney Houston, Chanel, Bon Jovi, Blondie, Vivienne Westwood and Burberry at past events. After participating in a competition involving several cities around the world, Rio de Janeiro was selected to host the first edition outside Europe and the US.

In the Brazilian version, the event will feature four international fashion designers, including Marc Jacobs, Versace, Givenvchy, and Calvin Klein, modeling simultaneously with liver performances from Mariah Carey, Estelle, Diddy, Grace Jones and Ciara. The line-up brings also four national fashion designers - Lenny, Andre Lima, Alexandre Herchcovith and Lino Vilaventura - who take to the stage with four other performers - Lulu Santos, Daniela Mercury, Wanessa and Ja Rule.

The renown fashion event is taking place solely in Brazil this year and Oi Fashion Rocks is expected to draw upwards of 5,000 people and broadcast to more than 120 different countries.
